● Parents ask
Goodquestions.
Does my child need prior experience?+
No. Most children start at First Glide. Older beginners join a short assessment and are placed with peers of a similar level.
How long does each stage take?+
Durations are guidelines. Children progress when they pass the stage milestone — never by age alone.
Is competition compulsory?+
Not at all. Competitive and Elite stages are for skaters who want them. Many children train for fitness, friendship and fun.
Can my child switch disciplines?+
Yes. Foundations includes taster sessions, and skills transfer well between disciplines — especially roller to ice.
